September 2025 marked an important month for DFK UK & Ireland members Wilson Wright and BKL as they unified under the BKL brand.
Wilson Wright merged with BKL in April 2024. This enabled both firms to expand the depth of their team while improving the quality of the support they provide across a widerange of services. DFK International enables the clients of BKL to grow and expand internationally by connecting the clients to likeminded member firms around the world.
Operating as one team across two offices – North London and City (aka Central London) – 1 September 2025 saw the transition of Wilson Wright, part of BKL to BKL.
This change reflects the success of both the merger and the subsequent integration process. It also offers a smoother experience for clients and the wider business community, including DFK. All existing relationships with Wilson Wright will continue seamlessly under the BKL name.
This BKL unification has come during an exciting period of growth in BKL’s leadership and high-level technical expertise. Over the past six months:
- Five new partners have been appointed across BKL’s tax, audit and business services teams – one of them, Luigi Lungarella, has joined DFK International’s Tax Special Interest Group as a VAT specialist
- A new Chief Growth Officer and Chief Operations Officer have joined the business
- A BKL office has opened in Cardiff to better support clients in the Welsh capital and surrounding areas
- Three of BKL’s directors are among the winners of this year’s Accountancy 35 Under 35, recognising the rising stars of the UK accounting industry
The combined BKL team are looking forward to continuing their trusted relationships with colleagues and friends across DFK, building new relationships as engagement increases, and representing BKL at future events, including the DFK UKI Annual & Emerging Leaders Conference in Sheffield on 7-10 October.
