UK consumers nationwide are being offered free personal financial planning sessions by financial planners including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFPTM) professionals. The aim is to give everyone a helping hand to achieve financial wellbeing, resilience and life goal planning, which this year is more important than ever with the backdrop of the global pandemic.
Shaw Gibbs are delighted to be supporting the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s (CISI) Financial Planning Week and will be holding free, one hour consultations which can be booked with Shaw Gibbs in advance, and during the week commencing 5 October.
The annual campaign, organised by the not-for profit professional body the CISI, is a national initiative to help improve the financial fitness of the UK public.

We have found throughout the lockdown-period and beyond that consumers are interested in making longer-term financial decisions, such as taking early retirement or helping the younger generations of their family. We enjoy being able to promote these benefits to a wider audience and are looking forward to holding these sessions throughout the week”

During Financial Planning Week, financial planners and their firms will be:
- Offering free consultation surgeries, via video call (Microsoft Teams, or Zoom), in person (with social distancing and Covid-secure measures in-place) or over the phone
- Opportunities for consumers to “Ask a Planner” a question in online sessions or offer written responses to individuals’ queries
- Providing presentations to local schools across the country to share the merits of the financial planning profession as a career, sharing their articles, guides and case studies on cisi.org/FPWeek
