We are very pleased to announce that Shaw Gibbs Financial Services have been named ‘Shopper’s choice’ by FT Financial Adviser’s Mystery Shopper.
Each week the mystery shopper seeks advice from independent advisers in the UK with the aim of finding out how financial advisory firms take potential new client calls and evaluate this first phone interview.
The process is assessed from initial contact with the firm, rating speed of response from the initial call, to how the call was directed, and culminating with the guidance given and an assessment of the knowledge and qualifications of the adviser in question.
The scenario for this was the caller had just moved to the UK and was wondering how to move her pension fund from Singapore to the UK. The shopper’s UK employer was also offering her a 5 per cent pension contribution. The shopper was wondering whether to invest in a separate pension or remain in her occupational pension.
The call was directed to Level 6 qualified Chartered Financial Planner Tim Davison who was rated 35 out of 35 as a final score with the shopper finding him ‘….helpful, knowledgeable and easy to speak too’.
Tim was up against three IFA’s in Abingdon, Oxford and Bicester. Congratulations to Tim and reception who directed the call, this is an excellent result for Shaw Gibbs.
