Profit & Hops for Leeds Accountancy Firm in 100th Anniversary Year

Leeds-based Chartered Accountants Brown Butler has continued celebrating its centenary by launching a specially brewed ale.

Brown Butler is one of the largest independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds and employs more than 80 people at its premises on St Paul’s Street.  In 2019 the firm is celebrating 100 years in business, throughout which the practice has been based in the centre of Leeds.

Profit & Hops was brewed by Ossett Brewery, who recently appointed Brown Butler as advisors, with Brown Butler holding a competition for colleagues to choose a name.

Profit and Hops is full bodied, well rounded and sweet on the palate, with a fruity aroma. The launch, at Archies Bar & Kitchen in Leeds, coincided with a celebratory centenary event that was attended by over 200 clients and contacts of Brown Butler.

James White, Director at Brown Butler commented on the launch of the beer,

It’s a real achievement to be celebrating our 100th year in business, and we hope that clients and colleagues alike will enjoy a glass or two of Profit & Hops with us to mark the occasion.”

“At Brown Butler we work with successful people and their outstanding businesses.  We provide Director-led business advice that
goes beyond the purely financial aspects.”

“Clients find it refreshing that we focus on the bigger picture.  It’s all about building long-term collaborative relationships”

Director John Brear added,

“We are delighted that Ossett Brewery have recently appointed us to provide a range of audit and advisory services. We know that they are meticulous about the brewing process and produce fantastic beers as a result. It really was a very easy decision to work with them to help us celebrate this special occasion and we are proud of the result.”

“The last 20 years have seen a period of sustained growth for the practice and we pride ourselves on developing close working relationships with our clients so were delighted when so many of them came along to our special event to mark our 100th birthday.”

“As well as brewing the beer, we’re also fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and are already well on the way to our £5,000 target.”
