Six staff members from leading Leeds accountancy firm, Brown Butler, are to take on a tough 90-mile bike ride to raise money for Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People.
The riders will face a challenging journey from Brown Butler’s office in Leeds to Filey on the East Yorkshire coastline – a ride that climbs almost 4,000 feet.
The route will see the team call in at Martin House Hospice in Boston Spa to see the great work the charity does, before setting off again from Wetherby.
Setting off early in the morning on 14 October, the group hopes their ride will help to raise thousands of pounds for Martin House, which supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions across West, North and East Yorkshire.
The charity’s vision is to provide every child and young person in the area with access to palliative care when and where they need it.
Nicola Taylor, one of the riders and a Director at Brown Butler, said:
Martin House does such fantastic work locally and we wanted to challenge ourselves by raising funds and awareness for the wonderful support that the charity provides.
“The team are already preparing for this difficult challenge and we hope that local businesses and members of the community across Yorkshire will get behind us to raise much-needed funds for this wonderful organisation.”
