Shaw Gibbs bolster presence via merger with Alliotts

The Shaw Gibbs Group has bolstered its presence in London and Surrey by merging with Alliotts LLP, who can trace their origins back to 1869.

Alliotts, with prestigious new offices in London and Guildford has 14 Partners and 100 people offering a full range of accountancy services. Alliotts’ specialist teams also advise on business strategy and corporate finance; a strong Media team and China Desk are amongst its niche offerings.

“Joining forces with Shaw Gibbs allows us access to greater investment in technology and to a broader and deeper pool of specialist talent. We have a shared ethos of providing highly personalised quality advice and services to clients.”

Comments Stephen Meredith, Chairperson for Alliotts

“With the ever-growing complexity of reporting and regulation, it is important we have access to the expertise required to keep ahead of change and the systems and back-office support to continue to deliver a cost-efficient all-round service.

For our clients, it is very much business as usual, they will not see any difference in who we are or how we work, but we now have more resource behind us to ensure we can continue to deliver outstanding service for years to come.”

Peter O’Connell, CEO for Shaw Gibbs adds.

“Alliotts ‘finesse-led’ approach is clear in the way that they run their business, their approach to ESG and, the great emphasis they place on understanding their clients individual and business needs.

By joining forces with Alliotts, we are bringing together two firms with a shared vision of delivering exceptional service and treating our people, our stakeholders and each other with respect.

They bring an impressive experienced senior team to the Shaw Gibbs Group, and I look forward to working with them.”

The addition of Alliotts to the Shaw Gibbs Group will result in a practice of almost 500 people based in offices located in: Oxford, Basingstoke, Bristol, Farnham, Guildford, Liss, London, Sutton, Teddington, Thame, Northampton, and Winchester. This exciting merger will propel the firm within the market, with the expectation that top 30 status will be reached in the next 12-18 months.
