BKL welcomes RBS Chartered Accountants as it continues its London-based growth

Top 40 accountancy and advisory firm BKL has announced that RBS, a long-established accountancy practice serving owner-managed businesses in Canary Wharf, has joined the firm.

The move reflects BKL’s strategy of bringing together like-minded firms that share its long-term outlook and client-focused philosophy. Founded in 1986, RBS has built its reputation through long-standing client relationships and a personal approach to advising business owners. Led by partners Ketan Shah and Atul Kothari, the firm works with a diverse client base across sectors including services, software, construction, property, healthcare, and professional services.

Lee Brook, CEO of BKL, said:

“Bringing the RBS team on board builds on our growing position in the London market and strengthens our capability to deliver high quality, relationship-led advice to entrepreneurs, SMEs and OMBs.

“This marks another step in our strategy to build a broad-based business advisory firm, combining deep technical expertise with the personal approach our clients value.”

Ketan Shah, Partner at RBS, said:

“Joining BKL is a natural next step for us, giving our clients access to broader expertise while preserving the personal, relationship-led approach that defines our firm.

“As part of BKL, we will continue supporting our clients in the same way as before, while strengthening the resources around us as their needs evolve.”

The addition of RBS further strengthens BKL’s presence in advising owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs. BKL is a Top 40 firm of accountants, tax advisers and business advisers with offices in North London, the City of London, Cardiff and Newcastle.

The firm specialises in supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals and families. BKL offers a comprehensive range of services including tax consultancy, audit, accounting, corporate finance and outsourcing, alongside specialist advisory services such as fractional CFO, IT, governance and sustainability.

BKL is part of DFK International, a global alliance of over 200 independent accountancy firms across more than 90 countries. In 2023, BKL partnered with private equity investors CBPE to support its long-term growth strategy.
