Celebrating BKL’s three Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 winners for 2025!
Three directors from BKL – Alex Lipman, Fabio Riccio and Sam Inkersole – are among the winners of this year’s Accountancy Age 35 Under 35.
The 35 Under 35 recognises young UK accountants who are making outstanding contributions to their firms and to the accounting industry. From across the UK, the judges choose 35 professionals aged 35 or under who set an example in leadership, client impact, innovation, change management and technical excellence.
BKL staff who have earned a place in previous Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 lists include Jon Wedge, Alisha O’Donovan and James Dillard (DFK’s EMEA Emerging Leader of the Year 2024).

About Alex Lipman
Aged 16, Alex was encouraged to pursue an accountancy career after doing work experience at BKL!
He joined Wilson Wright as a trainee, progressing to director by 2023: the year before Wilson Wright joined with BKL to become BKL’s Central London office. Alex was integral to the transition of City office colleagues into BKL’s Advance Business Services (ABS) team.
In supporting business clients on their journeys, Alex has deployed his technical experience. This includes Pipe Technologies, a US-based fintech with UK growth ambitions. As Pipe’s primary UK adviser, Alex provided end-to-end support: compliance, structuring and group-level reporting. He guided Pipe from incorporation through to audit on an asset portfolio exceeding £25m.
Alex supports individual clients with equal care and strategic rewards. Among them are Premier League footballers who need discreet yet commercially-minded support from their advisers. This includes working with commercial agents to ensure sponsorship and image rights contracts are properly structured and compliant.
About Fabio Riccio
In April 2025, under a decade since joining BKL, Fabio became their youngest director. He had joined as a trainee through LTSB, the social mobility charity who BKL have partnered with since it was founded.
Fabio has embraced opportunities to work closely with BKL’s senior leadership team. Like Alex, he’s taken a leading role in guiding transitions as the ABS team expanded to include Central London colleagues. His hands-on project work within the business has led to greater insight into BKL’s data, more efficient use of their systems and innovative new processes.
Fabio is trusted by ambitious business clients: from privately-owned business lenders to owners of multiple small businesses; in sectors ranging from property investment to renewable energy. He ensures that clients receive the tailored specialist support they need from across BKL, including tax restructuring, technical accounting and audit services.

About Sam Inkersole
Sam featured in the Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 in 2022. His inclusion in 2025 coincided with his ten-year anniversary at BKL. In that decade, he has progressed from audit trainee to tax director.
Sam has developed specialisms in cryptoasset tax and family investment companies. He has written on both topics for tax magazines. He’s a member of CIOT’s Cryptoasset Working Group.
Sam recommends and guides planning solutions that help multigenerational clients, whilst acting sensitively around the family relationships. These have included the complex demerger of a large family property group, and an inheritance tax issue arising from illiquid shares in various family property companies.
Like Alex and Fabio, Sam has actively contributed to the unified growth of his team across BKL’s offices. This has included drafting policies, bringing new ideas and historic insights to senior colleagues, and mentoring junior colleagues within the team.
By having technical experts and dedicated leaders at BKL who are so invested in their own growth and their teams’ growth, BKL are ensuring that they can support clients in achieving their own ambitions.
