Harrison Beale & Owen shortlisted for FirstPro Award

HB&O has been shortlisted in the Communication Campaign of the Year category at the 2019 FirstPro Awards.

HB&O’s shortlisted entry focuses on the creative and targeted approach we’ve taken to raising awareness of and supporting compliance with new Making Tax Digital (MTD) legislation.

Using striking visuals and clear messages, our highly targeted campaign has included blogs, social media and magazine articles to educate clients about MTD, while a direct mail campaign, supported by a series of small, focused workshops, has been employed to prompt action and help clients become MTD compliant.

Our highly targeted and segmented approach has helped us reach the right people at the right time with the right
message, depending on clients’ existing systems and compliance dates.

Mark Ashfield, Managing Director,
HB&O, said “Making Tax Digital will affect a large proportion of our clients from next month, with more likely to be impacted over the next 12-18 months. We wanted to make sure everyone affected was well informed in good time and felt supported in making decisions about how to ensure they comply. We’re delighted to have been selected as a finalist in recognition of our MTD
campaign activity to date.”

The FirstPro awards recognise excellent teamwork in Coventry and Warwickshire, and showcases the talent and capability of the professional and financial services sector in the region.

The winners will be announced at the awards dinner on Thursday 4th April at Coombe Abbey. Good luck to all the other finalists!
