Shaw Gibbs appoint John Williams as Chief Financial Officer

Shaw Gibbs, a leading UK accountancy firm, is delighted to announce the appointment of John Williams as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Williams who took up his position on the 27 February will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial strategy and operations.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at EY, his career encompasses various senior roles in both private and public companies. Notably, prior to joining Shaw Gibbs, Williams served as CFO for two private equity backed organisations where he led the financial transformation and played a key role in (variously) growth, exit and flotation.

In his new role, Williams will be responsible for driving Shaw Gibbs’ financial strategy and ensuring that the firm is in a position to deliver its exciting growth. He will work closely with the firm’s Partners and management team to identify and pursue new growth opportunities, whilst also ensuring that the firm remains financially stable and well-positioned for long-term success.
